Esther H.
Once Esther could no longer live by herself and be alone during the day, she moved in with her family. Since both her son and daughter had to continue working to support their families, they had to seek other options. In the summer of 2005, Esther's two children started looking for a place that their mother could be during the day. A visit was made to The Guest House, an assessment completed and soon after Esther started attending Monday-Friday.From the very beginning, Esther fit in, enjoyed herself and was very thankful that she was able to attend The Guest House. She told us that after her son visited and toured The Guest House, he came back and told her, "Mama, I have found the place I want you to go to...you're really going to like it and they'll take good care of you."
By attending The Guest House, Esther is able to live with her family instead of in an assisted living facility and her children are able to continue working. Esther also benefits by being around others during the day in a safe, secure environment. Esther and her family have continually expressed their gratitude for the staff and services at The Guest House. "Without The Guest House, I don't know what we would do."
