Since it's founding in 1985 The Guest House has been fortunate to employ experienced and professional staff members. The Guest House staff continually trains and sets goals for excellence in care.
The entire staff recently took part in an Alzheimer's Simulation provided by Halcyon Hospice at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega. Without missing a day of service here, all staff worked to cover the day, as each had an opportunity to go through excercise. Even the most experienced nurses were moved and gained a better understanding of how dementia can impare, frustrate and tire it's victims. We are grateful to Halcyon and Chestatee Regional for the opportunity to understand how Alzheimer's disease can effect the mind and body.
Dana Chapman, Executive Director, along with Julie Greeley, Finance Director have attended two recent trainings on Excellence in Financial Managament and Fundraising through The North Georgia Community Foundation and The Georgia Center for Nonprofits.
A member of The Georgia Association for Adult Day Care Centers, The Guest House, Inc. holds high standards for the very best care possible. All staff complete a minimum of 15 standard trainings every year on various topics from Food Safety to Excellence in Alzheimer's Care to Disaster Management, along with Annual CPR and Health Safety Updates.
